I just stumbled across this great video on YouTube from Brendan Wenzel in the US using an Olympus ME-52W noise cancelling mic with a GoPro. The ME-52W is commonly used with the Olympus range of digital voice recorders to cut down on wind noise when recording outside or when recording audio that is going to be transcribed by Dragon (NaturallySpeaking from Windows and Dictate for Mac).
Watching the video the audio sounds great, reading Brendan’s comments he mentions a couple of times that is was very windy as he took his walk on the beach, none of the wind noise is evident in the video, a testimony to the quality of the Olympus mic.
